Celebrating What We Stand For: The Guiding Principles Award at UNIQA IT

Why it matters: The Award was shaped by feedback from our employees, emphasizing three key values:

• Recognition: Winners were acknowledged publicly, including by top management such as by our Board Members and the UITS Managing Directors.
• Sense of Community: Being part of something bigger - where individual and collective contributions are seen and celebrated.

• Appreciation: More than just a thank you note, each winning team was rewarded a €5,000 budget - to show commitment and value.
  
  

Honouring the Winners

Each Guiding Principle tells a story of what we believe in, and these teams brought those principles to life:

• Simplicity: The winning team CoED (Collaboration Education) exemplified how simplifying processes can lead to greater efficiency and clarity in our daily work. With experience as well as creativity, the team brought the knowledge of IT related topics in an understandable and simple way directly to the employees. They support the entire Workplace Department with designing information material and videos and actively bring in and work on topics where they would see room for improvement.  
  
  
• Customer First: Winning Team ART-CSS MyUNIQA Plus AT focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences, putting the needs of our customer at the centre of every solution. By implementing a very quick and easy to use bonus-payout-service for the customer, users are now able to manage all loyalty processes by themselves.  
  
  
• Ownership: Team DICH myUNIQA - UNITRA demonstrated accountability by looking for opportunities and finding ways to improve business. In addition, the whole team pulled together and pursued one goal. This also showed responsibility for each other and for the company. 
  
  
• Integrity: This round awarded the UITS IT Security Services Team for maintaining and protecting our systems and company data from malicious security and cyber threats. In difficult situations the team has worked late into the nights or on weekends to uphold our systems through transparency and reliability, ensuring our actions match our promises.
  
  
• Community: The Collaborations Platform Team won this award through cross-functional collaboration by breaking down silos and strengthening bonds across departments, proving that community drives innovation.  
  
  

As the award cycles concluded this June, the Guiding Principles Award at UNIQA IT aims to highlight what truly makes UNIQA strong: our people. By recognizing teams who turn values into action, we reinforce a culture of trust, unity, and progress.
